چکیده
The use of nitrification inhibitors could be an interesting alternative when applied to enhance nitrogen (N) fertilizer efficiency in annual crops such as cotton under tropical soil conditions. Thus, our aim was evaluate the inhibitor 3,4-Dimethylpyrazole phosphate (DMPP) a typical by evaluating fate (N-NO3?, N-NH4+ and total N leached water), accumulation recovery plants soil. Leaching columns with were used assess N-NO3? losses drainage water. treatments consisted three levels side-dressing (corresponding 50, 100 150 kg ha?1) 15N-urea without DMPP application. An additional treatment (absence application side-dressing) control. efficiently improved after urea reducing NO3? leaching, leading enhanced acquisition from augmenting plants, mainly high above ha?1 applied. We found that increased 31% + source compared conventional urea. In addition, reduced leaching (by approximately 11 20%), although it had no significant effect on shoot or root dry matter yields. reduction obtained herein highlights potential mitigate impact inputs losses, thereby improving uptake crops.

متن کاملBiomass Accumulation, Photosynthetic Traits and Root Development of Cotton as Affected by Irrigation and Nitrogen-Fertilization
Limitations of soil water and nitrogen (N) are factors which cause a substantial reduction in cotton (Gossypium hirsutum L.) yield, especially in an arid environment. Suitable management decisions like irrigation method and nitrogen fertilization are the key yield improvement technologies in cotton production systems. Therefore, we hypothesized that optimal water-N supply can increase cotton pl...

Nitrification inhibitors (Thiourea and nitrification inhibitor “A”) with urea fertilizer were used to enhance the nitrogen efficiency. Nitrification inhibitors and the amount of nitrogen were applied through urea fertilizer to rice seed in Column Lysimeters. The whole experiment was conducted with following treatments such as; urea application as a control at 2gN/10kg (200 kg N/ha), urea applic...
متن کاملReducing nitrate leaching losses from a Taupo pumice soil using a nitrification inhibitor eco-n
The decline in water quality in Lake Taupo has been attributed to nitrogen (N) leaching from surrounding land areas. Pastoral agriculture has been identified as a significant contributor to this N transfer to the lake through animal urine deposition. There is therefore an immediate need for new management options to reduce N losses. The objective of this study was to measure the effectiveness o...

Feeding and postruminal infusion of propionate is known to increase N retention in ruminants. Our aim was to determine the role of rumen propionate on urea N recycling and gluconeogenesis in growing sheep.
